What we don’t deal with, we suppress down. The sensitizing event is over, but you continue to react to triggers as if you were in danger – survival mode with automatic impulses. We can use hypnotherapy to become aware of what is happening in our mind and in our body below the level of conscious awareness. Release the emotional charge from the memory and reframe the perception of the experience.

By integrating polyvagal theory into hypnotherapy sessions, I can help you achieve a deeper level of relaxation and tap into your body’s natural healing abilities. Breathing exercises can help activate the ventral vagus nerve and promote relaxation. This can also be used to heal trauma and regulate emotions.
