Are you fed up with diets?
Do you want to change the relationship you have with food?
Cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy adds to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy as it assumes that most psychological disturbances are caused by a form of spontaneous negative self-hypnosis in which negative thoughts, self-talk and imagery are accepted uncritically and implicitly without conscious awareness.
Examples of negative self-talk –
I will always be fat.
I am not attractive anyway.
I have no self-control.
It’s my partners fault for buying me chocolate and cake.
I will never be happy until I lose weight.
I will start tomorrow.
Internal shifts will flow into your external reality
Then there is the subconscious programming that your parents put in –
You can only have dessert if you eat all your dinner.
Be good and I will buy you some lollies.
Eat all your food, there are starving children in Africa.
How much of your eating is because of hunger? And how much is craving, emotional eating, rewarding yourself.
With cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy we can bring these programs into conscious awareness and re-program your subconscious with more beneficial updated habits and beliefs about your relationship with food.
I will work with your sub-conscious mind where your beliefs and habits are housed (which affect your behaviours) to help you make the necessary changes to reach your goal to be happy, healthy, slim and manage your weight.

“I had 4 sessions with Ian in Feb, 2023 to help me with my sugar cravings which were strong at night and I felt I couldn’t control my eating which was very stressful. I immediately felt confident that Ian could help me as he seemed very non-judgemental and put me at ease. I found the hypnosis sessions very relaxing and so far I’ve lost 14 kilos, but most importantly to me, I feel in control of my night-time eating using the self-hypnosis he taught me and some behavioural therapy techniques. Thankyou so much for your help.”

“I feel like I’ve made a lifestyle change rather than dieting, after seeing Ian for weight loss. He used hypnotherapy and behavioural therapy to help me stay focussed and the suggestive hypnosis changed my perception around certain foods so I am now attracted and enjoy fruit which I didn’t before and other healthy food seems to be in the forefront of my mind, where the junk food was before. It’s amazing ! I’m so glad I took the leap to try hypnotherapy for the first time and I wouldn’t hesitate in using again in the future.”
